Results 2025

The CWJF GROUP is pleased to announce the results of the CQMM DX CONTEST / 2025, which are now available on our website ( access the link at the end of this comment ).

According to the Organizing Committee's decision, starting this year ( 2025 ), the results will be published on the third weekend of November ( previously they were released in February ).

We received 2,069 LOGs and our tabulation program counted 3,539 different active call signs in the contest with 5 or more contacts made, totaling 372,290 QSOs. Of these, 354,806 QSOs were valid, meaning that 95,3% of the QSOs made were counted ( an average higher than that achieved in 2024 ). You will find more details about the contest on our page, in the RECORDS and STATISTICS links.

In 2025, we observed growth in the number of participating stations across 5 continents compared to the previous year, with the exception of North American (NA) stations, despite all our outreach efforts. We are confident that there is still much room to increase the number of participants in the coming years, especially among US stations.

We would like to remind you that 2025 was a very special year for us at CWJF GROUP ( the contest organizer ), as we celebrated 40 years since our founding, managing to maintain our uninterrupted activities throughout all these years and continuing to have as our main objectives to support, encourage, publicize and promote CW.

We are very pleased with the worldwide growth that the CQMM DX CONTEST has achieved in its short history, with its 15 editions already held. All of you who have participated in our contest one or more times are, without a doubt, the reason for our great success. If you, the radio amateur reading this message, have never participated in our contest, it will be a great honor to have you as a participant for the first time in 2026, in this great world CW event, which traditionally takes place on the third weekend of April.

The CQMM DX CONTEST continues its trajectory of surpassing world and continental records each year. The 2025 results, which we have just released, show that 3 new world records and 16 new continental records were achieved. And we had records on all 6 continents.

In 2025, in addition to the 3 stations that achieved new world records ( UR2Y / ZZ5K / DL8DYL ), which is always the highest point a participant can reach in a competition, we highlight some stations ( 4K6FO / CT3KN / PW2F / TO7K / YBØECT ) that also had a remarkable performance with excellent results.

Below is a brief summary of the participation of the stations mentioned.

UR2Y ( Operator: Valery – USØYW ) : Achieved a new world record in the QRP category with an incredible 65.1% increase in score compared to the previous record in the category. It will be a great challenge in the coming years for stations in this category to try to surpass this record.

ZZ5K ( Operator: Mark – PP5RT ) : is the new world record holder in the SO / SB / 10M / LP category, surpassing the previous record, which also belonged to a Brazilian station (PY2EX) and had been obtained last year.

DL8DYL ( YL – Irina ) : once again surpassed its own world record, for the second consecutive time ( 2023 / 2024 ), with a score increase of more than 50% compared to its previous record ( 2024 ), exceeding 2.5 million points. Furthermore, it was the station ( out of a total of 164 participating stations from Germany with submitted records ) with the highest score obtained. Also achieved the seventh highest position among all contest participants. A brilliant performance. Congratulations.

4K6FO ( Operator: Alim ) : In addition to achieving a new continental record ( AS ) in the SO / AB / LP category with a 54.2% increase in score compared to the previous record, this was also the second oldest record in the Asian continent, previously held by station A65CA, obtained in 2013.

CT3KN ( Operator: Martin ) : For the second consecutive year, this station from the African continent ( Madeira Island ) surpassed its own continental record ( AF ) in the SO / AB / HP category, achieving a 40.8% increase in score compared to its own record obtained the previous year ( 2024 ). Its final score shows a total of 2,274 valid QSOs and 249 confirmed multipliers, reaching a score of 2,942,682 points, which allowed it to achieve second place worldwide in the category this year.

PW2F ( Operators: PY2NA / PY2NDX / PY2YU ) : Participated in the MO / AB / HP category and won first place worldwide, after having finished second in the last 2 years ( 2023 / 2024 ). Persistence paid off. Congratulations to the entire team.

TO7K ( Operators: FR8TZ / FR8UA ) : This is the first time in the contest, in 15 editions held so far, that we have a station from the African continent ( Reunion Island ) participating in the Multi-Operator ( MO / AB / HP ) category. This station obtained a total of 1,106 valid QSOs and 108 confirmed multipliers, with a final score of 574,452 points. Congratulations to the entire team.

YBØECT ( Operator: Pri ) : Achieved a new continental record ( OC ) in the SO / SB / 10M / HP category, surpassing the oldest record, held by station YB1ALL since 2012.

Following the announcement of the CQMM DX CONTEST / 2025 results, we are pleased to inform you that the stations holding the 5 oldest continental records ( and their respective categories ) are: RK9JWV ( AS - 2012 ) in the MO / AB / HP category, N1IX ( NA - 2015 ) in the SO / AB / QRP category, KH6KG ( OC - 2015 ) in the SO / AB / QRP category, PW2D ( SA - 2015 ) in the SO / SB / 20M / HP category, and 4L8A ( AS - 2015 ) in the SO / SB / 15M / HP category.

Another great joy we would like to share with all radio amateurs is the record achieved for the fourth consecutive year of participating YL stations. In 2022, 26 logs were received, in 2023 it increased to 28 logs, in 2024 it continued to increase to 30 logs and in 2025 we reached 41 logs received. Our special thanks to all participating YL stations. You bring a special shine to the contest.

CLARIFICATION NOTE: The Organizing Committee of the CQMM DX CONTEST informs that station KC1XX has been reclassified to the SO/AB/HP ( CHECK-LOG ) category for having incorrectly sending the RST during the contest, contrary to what is stated in the regulations (item 4.1, paragraph three) for stations participating in the Multi-Operator category.

Save the dates April 18th and 19th on your calendar to participate in the CQMM DX CONTEST / 2026, which has held 15 editions so far, but in such a short time has already established itself as one of the largest CW contests in the world.
